BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Steve Pageot Director Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Montreal, Canada, Steve Pageot was introduced to music at an early age and received instruction from his father, noted musician Fritz Pageot. It wasn’t until his final years of high school, however, that his musical journey began and, after winning a major Canadian competition, he soon found himself... ...involved with several domestic and international projects. As is the norm within the field of entertainment, work begets more work, and in 1998 he moved to New York where he soon had the opportunity to prove himself while under the wing of hit producer Ron Lawrence (Diddy, B.I.G, LL Cool J). Within one year, Steve began amassing a series of accolades, starting with a platinum plaque for producing "War Iz On" featuring Snoop, Kurupt and Layzie Bone on Krayzie Bone's album Thug Mentality 1999, and later a gold plaque and Grammy Award for his work with the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Pageot also produced and engineered projects for Talib Kweli, New Edition, The Hamilton MixTape, and others, and was slated to work on Michael Jackson’s final studio album. While the latter never materialized, he counts the nod as both a blessing and immense honor. Combining his talents as a producer and multi-instrumentalist, Pageot also focused on other areas of his craft earning commercial and jingle credits for some of America’s most recognizable brands. He eventually signed a deal with MTV to score music for several of their television shows including successful series such as Run's House and Rob and Big. Becoming a frequent writer within the Viacom family of networks, Pageot scored music for multiple VH1 programs and appeared several times as a guest judge on BET's 106 and Park. Pageot continues to expand his work in the area of production, composition, and music engineering & mixing, and has a new slate of projects lined up for 2021 and beyond. He also makes it a point to emphasize the importance of music education to the next generation of music creators while sharing what he has learned through his years in the business.
