....Joan’s career has enabled her to work throughout Canada, the United States and the Caribbean.  Joan has developed a keen understanding of the needs and goals of her clients, which complements her professional and personal one on one style. Joan has been actively involved in the design and implementation of North America Festivals and Special Events which included: Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games – Cuttin’ Style Caribbean Fashion;  Caribana – Toronto; Africanadian Arts and Music Festival - Ontario Place; African Heritage Music Festival – New Orleans; Atlanta Music Festival – Atlanta; Trinidad & Tobago Heritage Group, Gala - Toronto; The African Canadian Achievement Awards;  Urban Aids Concert – Toronto;  The 1994 World Championship of Basketball – Toronto. Joan has also served as a consultant to a number of organizations since 1986. Dwayne Morgan

Dwayne Morgan is a two-time Canadian National Poetry Slam Champion. He began his career as a spoken word artist in 1993.  In 1994, he founded Up From The Roots entertainment, to promote the positive artistic contributions...

...of African Canadian and urban influenced artists. Morgan is the 2018 winner of the Sheri-D Wilson Golden Beret Award for Career Achievement in the Spoken Word. In 2016, Morgan was a finalist for the Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Arts. In 2013, Morgan was inducted into the Scarborough Walk of Fame. Morgan has received both the African Canadian Achievement Award, and the Harry Jerome Award for Excellence in the Arts. In 2012, Morgan performed at Super Bowl 46, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Morgan is the winner of 3 Canadian Urban Music Awards (2001, 2003, 2005). Morgan is the producer and host of two TV shows, Poetically Speaking, and Write in Toronto, on the Afroglobal Television Network, and Bell Fibe TV1 respectively, and his one-man play, Grade 8, now appears on the CBC’s PlayMe Podcast. Dwayne’s work ethic has taken him across Canada, the United States, Jamaica, Turkey, Trinidad, Bermuda, Barbados, England, Scotland, Belgium, Budapest, Germany, France, Norway, Ghana, and Holland. His emphasis on quality has driven his success and has made him a well-respected component of Toronto’s urban music community, as well as the North American, and Global, spoken word scenes.

...in music production, live production, label exec/A&R, artist development, management and studio ownership has given him a wide variety of influences, credibility and expertise in the recording industry. In 2017 Vic was recognized for some of his work taking home ‘Indie Week ‘Producer of the Year’! In 1994 Iguana Studios was born, a small project studio, “built by musicians for musicians”. Today Iguana is a multi-platinum state-of-the-art facility and has since earned itself a spot amongst the frontrunners of the diverse recording landscape in Canada. Over the past 25 years the studio has seen its share of great artists. This includes some of Canada’s brightest international multi-platinum stars such as, Nelly Furtado Arkells, Alessia Cara Billy Talent, Kardinal Offishall, K’naan, Amanda Marshall, Jully Black, Sum 41, Three Days Grace, Dream Theater, as well as internationally acclaimed artists like Gene Simmons of Kiss, James Morrison, Fabolous, and Tyga. Today Iguana remains as one of Canada’s longest running premier recording facilities.

Andy Marshall
CMN Hall of Fame - Creative Director

Andy co-created the one-hour drama Soul with his sister Abi Marshall. It starred Keshia Chanté, and Mpho Koaho received an acting award for his role on the show. Andy started as an actor, and he continues in front the camera. He's had the pleasure of 

...acting with Liam Hemsworth (Most Dangerous Game), Maggie Q (Designated Survivor), Eli Goree (Soul), and Jill Hennessy (Crawford), among others. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Andy's cousins include the gospel singer Nisa, and the gospel quartet STB (The St. Hilaire Brothers). Andy holds both US and Canadian citizenship. He is represented by Debi McGuin and Associates in Toronto.
